The Brainomics project

The Brainomics project is one of the projects chosen by the Agence nationale de la recherche (ANR) in the bioinformatics call of the Investissements d'Avenir program. It is a collaborative R&D project that gathers:

Database Effort

Logilab and the BrainOmics team at the Neurospin department of CEA provide the technical foundation and set up databases mixing imaging, genetics and questionnaire data.

This prototype was developed by V. Michel, D. Papadopoulos, Y. Schwartz and V. Frouin.

We presented a poster at the OHBM 2013 conference and published a paper in NeuroImage.

The source code for this site is available on GitHub as the localizer cube.

Ethical issues

All subjects gave their consent to enter a single protocol reviewed by our local ethics committee (CPP). Although the initial protocol did not specifically refer to publishing the data, we worked out a solution. In order to publish the data, we agreed:

  • • to reencode subject identifiers,
  • • to deface anatomical MRI data,
  • • not to expose SNPs.
